Installation & Troubleshooting v5.1

Set the crankshaft at TDC as described in Step 15. Peel off the backing of the timing sticker and

permanently install it on the timing wheel with the pointer aligned with “OT”. If it is off slightly,

bend the pointer so that it points exactly to “OT”.

Remove each of the three set screws one at a time, apply a tiny drop of Loctite “Blue”, and re-

install. There is no reason to remove these screws once the timing is set correctly except to

change the engine timing chain!

Snip off a top side of the grommet, part #15.

Snip out wedge section:

Insert grommet into top front of engine:

Trim any excess.

Step 23: Install Timing Wheel Sticker
